The proven sound quality of Genesis products has lead to a long history of success in soundoff competitions.

But what is ‘soundoff’? Various organisations such as EMMA, IASCA, MECA, CAN and USAC hold annual competitions for all enthusiasts in classes from novice to experienced installer, but the rules are broadly similar. There are usually two categories in these events, one that judges the sound level (SPL) where the aim is to have the loudest car and a second that focuses on the sound quality (SQ). Genesis cars compete in the latter category.

The 2008 EMMA Eurofinals held in Wels Austria was their best yet, giving Genesis the highest score of all European manufacturers and setting a new EMMA record at 572 points overall for the Vauxhall Corsa shown below which also won best in show. With Genesis going from strength to strength worldwide and new cars being built by previous winners for the 2009 and 2010 events, Genesis are looking forward to more great results. Here are just some of the trophies that have been awarded to Genesis team cars over the last few years.
